ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
SCOTT W. VOGEL
Scott Vogel is a passionate and visionary leader dedicated to transforming the disaster remediation industry through education and practical expertise. As a Doctoral student of Public Health at Rutgers University, Scott is specializing in Leadership, Research, and Practice with a particular focus on the Disaster Remediation Industry. A proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, Scott currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer at Emergi-Clean, Inc. His commitment to excellence and innovation in biohazard remediation has earned him recognition as one of the Top Five Most Influential Leaders in the field worldwide. With over 20 years of experience in bio-remediation, Scott is respected for his unparalleled ability to guide industry leaders through a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world application.
Scott’s impressive career trajectory is marked by a dedication to improving industry standards and advancing safety protocols. He holds the prestigious Certified Bio-Recovery Master (CBRM) certification from the American Bio-Recovery Association (ABRA), demonstrating his expertise and commitment to the highest standards of practice in disaster remediation. As the current President of ABRA, he plays a critical role in shaping policies and advancing the professionalization of the biohazard recovery field. His leadership extends to his work as a voting member of the IICRC S540 revision committee, which developed the Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup, as well as his contributions as a contributing author to the Environmental Risk Specialist Manual for the Restoration Industry Association. Scott is also a key member of the International Technical Working Group on CBRNE Mitigation and Recovery, contributing to global disaster recovery strategies.
Scott’s vast experience and qualifications have naturally led him to his current role as the Director of MSI. His mission is clear: to develop and deliver training programs that not only educate but truly empower the workforce in the disaster remediation industry. Scott believes in creating an environment where students are not just learning—they are engaged, challenged, and inspired. His vision is to equip students with the skills and knowledge that will shape their careers and allow them to make a lasting impact in the industry.
